The Municipality of Chester is asking for the public’s help in
recognizing local frontline workers.
Thank a Frontline Worker is an appreciation program intended to acknowledge workers whose
job it is to serve us every day throughout the current pandemic. The program will also support
some local businesses that are having difficulty by purchasing gift cards as prizes.
“Frontline workers – whether it be in healthcare, retail, or service industries – put themselves
at risk every day for their communities,” says Warden Allen Webber. “It’s time that we
recognize them for their sacrifice.”
Municipal staff will accept public nominations (one per person) and draw two winners every
Friday for seven weeks. Winners will receive a $50 gift card from a local business. The first draw
will be Friday, May 22.
The public can email nominations to the Economic Development Officer, Heather Hennigar, at
ecodev@chester.ca or call 902-275-4138. Please provide the worker’s name, contact
information, and why they are deserving.
