MEDIA ADVISORY
The Municipality of Chester (MOC) called a Special Election in District #3 to fill the Council seat
vacated by former Councillor Danielle Barkhouse, who resigned after being elected to represent
constituents of the Chester-St. Margarets riding in last August’s Provincial Election. District #3
consists of the Village of Chester and part of East Chester.
The Special Election is scheduled for Saturday, November 13, 2021. At the close of nominations,
three MOC residents have officially declared their candidacy:
• Annette Collicutt
• Jo-Ann Grant
• Derek Wells
Advance Polls open on November 3 at 8:00 a.m. and close on Election Day, November 13 at
7:00 p.m. Voting is electronic (online and telephone), and instructions will be forwarded via
letter to eligible voters in the District.
