Home My Public Portal About2022-03-22_MR_Best Of MEDIA RELEASE MUNICIPALITY OF CHESTER – Customers have the chance to show appreciation for Municipality of Chester (MOC) businesses over the next two weeks (March 21-April 4, 2022) by nominating their favourites in the 7th Annual Best Of Chester Municipality Business Awards (Best Of). Best Of is a people’s choice award program that begins with an online submission process where customers can nominate businesses in 23 categories from Best Artisanal Retailer to Best Farmers’ Market Vendor. All eligible businesses must operate within, or have an office located in, the Municipality of Chester boundary. Warden Allen Webber is delighted that the program is underway for another year, “The last two years have been tough. Supporting our local businesses in any way is especially important as we start to re-emerge post-restrictions.” Nominations are limited to one submission per category, per device (mobile, laptop, tablet). Multiple submissions are accepted provided they are not for the same category. Once nominations close on April 4, at 11:59pm, they will be tallied and top business nominees in each category will compete during a public voting period occurring between April 18 and May 9. Winners will be announced on May 17. Anyone wishing to nominate their picks are invited to do so at www.chester.ca/BestOf until April 4 at 11:59pm.
