reaching the end of life.
Bylaws:
• Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw 1410 and Municipal Ticketing Bylaw 1411 – Council
adopted Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw 1410 and Municipal Ticketing Bylaw 1411. These
Bylaws would see the addition of fines for disturbances to the Watercourse and
Environmentally Sensitive Development Areas and increases in fines for damage to boulevard
trees.
• Fees and Charges Amendment Bylaw 1383.04 – Council adopted Fees and Charges
Amendment Bylaw 1383.04. The amendments to this Bylaw would see charges updated to
reflect the updated costs for Cemetery services.
UBCM Grant – Extreme Heat Mapping Assessment and Planning and Emergency Management
Update – Council supports that the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen apply for a regional
UBCM Grant with respect to Extreme Heat Risk Mapping Assessment and Planning Program. Receipt
of this grant would ensure that our community has accurate knowledge of the risks associated with
extreme heat and how these risks will change over time, and to develop effective response plans and
strategies to prepare, mitigate and adapt to those risks. Recent communications from the Province of
British Columbia and Interior Health Authority are informing community leaders, local government
elected officials and staff that there is a need for communities to build resilience and adapt to climate
changes.
