1.0 PURPOSE:
This report seeks council's resolution to appoint the bylaw enforcement officer.
2.0 RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended:
A. That Council appoint the following as a Bylaw Enforcement Officer pursuant to Section
36 of the Police Act and Community Charter for enforcement of the Town of Oliver

MUNICIPAL MANAGER'S COMMENTS:
3.0 BACKGROUND:
At the March 25, 2013 meeting, Council awarded the Bylaw Services Officer and Security
Services Agreement to Marshall Enforcement Services and at the April 8, 2013 meeting, Council
appointed the Bylaw Officers. Since that meeting Marshall Enforcement Services has hired an
additional bylaw services officer to assist with enforcement issues in the Town of Oliver.
A Council resolution is required to appoint the Bylaw Officers to enforce the Town of Oliver's
bylaws.
