1) Please provide a brief description of your project or event,
The Gray Grant Society presently has approx. 564 acres of primarily of various levels of
forestation from near old growth to the majority being not much more than scrub.
The Gray Grant Society plans on securing the service of Western Woodlot Services
Cooperative Ltd. to develope an Over view report of our lands and tailor a forest
management plan to reflect our objectives of developing an old growth forest for the
future.

2) How do you plan on spending your District grant funds?
The funds will be used in securing the service of Western Woodlot Services Cooperative
Ltd. to map, do a forest inventory of our present lands and provide an overview report.
Then working with the Gray Grant Society develop a detailed Forest Management Plan
that will guide the Society in developing an old growth forest for future generations to
enjoy.

Our project will be supporting our community in a number of the areas of the Municipal
Strategic Priorities Framework. Primarily in Environmental Stewardship, Healthy &
Vibrant Communities and Infrastructure & Service Delivery.
A healthy old growth forest in the community will have a positive influence for both the
environment and recreation possibilities,
