REGIONALISM Planning Beyond Boundaries
On behalf of the Nova Scotia Planning Directors Association, I invite
everyone to attend the 2014 NSPDA Annual Conference, being held
May 14 - 16 in Halifax. This year’s conference theme is “Regionalism:
Planning Beyond Boundaries”.
Through their professional practice, planners want to ensure
municipalities and the regions they are located within address growth
and provide services in a sustainable manner. Our presenters will speak
on topics such as municipal service delivery models in other jurisdictions,
how rural municipalities and urban cores can be better served through
regional planning, and other related topics. We invite not only other
planners, but municipal elected officials, Planning Advisory Committee
members, municipal staff, and others who are interested in this topic
to attend. We are certain that all will find this conference timely and
informative. We look forward to seeing you in Halifax.
