POLICY P -51
SIGNING OFFICERS POLICY
WHEREAS Section 13(3) of the Municipal Government Act (The Act) states that the
Warden and Cleric or the persons designed by the Council by policy may sign a deed or
other document to which the Municipality is a party on behalf of the Municipality;
IT IS THEREFORE THE POLICY of the Municipality of the District of Chester that
the Warden and Cleric be signing officers for the Municipality and that the alternates be as
follows:
Signing Officer
Alternate
Warden
or
Deputy Warden
and
Cleric
or
Chief Administrative
Officer Director of Finance
AND IT IS THEREFORE CONFIRMED any documents previously signed by any of
the above persons is confirmed as having been signed by the proper people.
