Minutes of Meeting of Council
April 24, 2023
6:30 p.m.
Present:
Mayor Thorne, Deputy Mayor Wilson, Councillor Nelson,
Councillor Brenan, Councillor Milner, Councillor Maguire,
Councillor MacLeod
Absent: Councillor Bobbitt
Staff Present: Scott Hatcher, Chief Administrative Officer, Heather Moffett,
Treasurer, Tara Olesen, Town Clerk
1. Approval of Agenda
Moved by: Councillor Nelson
Seconded by: Councillor MacLeod
THAT the agenda for this special Council meeting be approved as circulated.
Motion Carried
The purpose of this special meeting was to hold a hearing of objections to
proposed Village of Sussex Corner Rural Plan Amendment, By-law 125-14-03.
2. Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
No members present declared a conflict of interest on any items on the agenda
at this time.
3. Delegations, Petitions and Correspondence:
Mayor Thorne asked the Clerk if any written objections were received. The Clerk
indicated that no written objections were received. Mayor Thorne asked three
times if there were any objections from the floor. No one in attendance had any
objections to the proposed by-law.
4. New Business
4.a Hearing of Objections Proposed By-law 125-14-03
4.a.1 Planner's Report - Proposed Rezoning Lucy Creighton Subdivision
Chief Administrative Officer Hatcher reviewed with the Committee the
Planner's Report on the proposed rezoning.

5. Adjournment
Moved by: Councillor MacLeod
Seconded by: Councillor Milner
THAT this special meeting of Sussex Council be adjourned.
Motion Carried
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35pm.
