BYLAW 1418
A Bylaw to establish the Growing Communities Reserve Fund
WHEREAS it is provided by Section 188 of the Community Charter that Council may establish a
reserve fund for a specific purpose and direct that money to be placed to the credit of the re-
serve fund;
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Oliver wishes to establish a reserve fund for the purposes
of segregating the grant monies received from the Growing Communities Fund and to meet
condition of funding;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Oliver, in open meeting assembled, hereby enacts
as follows:
1. This Bylaw may be cited as for all purposes as “Growing Communities Reserve Fund Bylaw
1418”.
2. The Growing Communities Reserve Fund is hereby established.
3. Grant funding from the provincial Growing Communities Fund, general revenue surplus, or
other monies as directed by Council, may be paid into this reserve fund.
4. Any and all amounts in this reserve fund, including any interest earned and accrued, may be
used and expended solely for eligible project costs in accordance with the terms of the Grow-
ing Communities Fund.
Read a first, second and third time on the 23rd day of May, 2023.
Adopted on the 12th day of June, 2023.
