MATTERS ARISING: Policies: 3.1 2nd/ Final Notice – Amend Policy P-04 – Procurement Policy regarding consideration for local preference and low threshold value. 3.2 2nd / Final Notice - Updated Policy P-84 Citizens Planning Advisory Committee with changes as suggested at August 7 Committee of the Whole. 3.3 2nd /Final Notice - Amended Policy P-39 – Chester Village Area Advisory Committee – amendments to allow for Policy P-84 mandate. 3.4 2nd / Final Notice - Amended Policy P-63 – Chester Municipal Area Advisory Committee – amendments to allow for Policy P-84 mandate. 3.5 2nd/Final – P-85 – Adoption – Water Quality Monitoring Committee (Mill Cove) – Terms of Reference. 4. COMMITTEE REPORTS: 4.1 Committee of the Whole – September 18, 2014 – Warden Webber 4.2 Recreation and Parks Committee – September 15, 2014 – Councillor Connors 4.3 Any other Committee Reports. 5. CORRESPONDENCE: 5.1 Letter from Dylan Heide, CAO, Town of Shelburne dated September 5, 2014 regarding an invitation to visit the Town of Shelburne for the 2015 UNSM South Shore Regional Meeting to be hosted by Town of Shelburne in the spring of 2015. 5.2 Letter from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) dated September 15, 2014 regarding request for support to save Canada Post and a resolution that the union would like the Municipality of the District of Chester to consider passing. 5.3 Letter from Nova Scotia Environment dated September 9, 2014 regarding update on new Activities Designation Regulations as follows: · Changes to the Watercourse Alteration Program · Amendments related to Protected Water Areas · All watercourse alterations are subject to compliance audits Page 2 of 2 5.4 Letter from NS Department of Municipal Affairs dated September 11, 2014 regarding Building By- Laws. 5.5 Letter of response from Minister of Department of Health & Wellness to Warden dated September 16, 2014 regarding submission to the Recreation Facility Development Grant (RFD) program. 5.6 Letter from Department of Natural Resources regarding conveyance of Crown Land (infill at Wild Rose Park) to the Municipality.
