1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Moved by: Deputy Mayor Wilson
Seconded by: Councillor MacLeod
THAT the agenda be approved as circulated with the addition of 7.a.3) Councillor
MacLeod Correspondence.

2. RECORDING OF ATTENDANCE
3. DISCLOSURE OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
No members present declared a conflict of interest on any of the items on the
agenda at this time.
4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETING #01-23
Moved by: Deputy Mayor Wilson
Seconded by: Councillor Maguire
THAT the minutes of meeting 01-23 be approved as circulated.

6. BUSINESS ARISING OUT OF MINUTES
6.a ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STEERING COMMITTEE.
6.b SUSSEX POPULATION GROWTH STRATEGY:
6.b.1 COVENTRY WALK SUBDIVISION
Nothing new to report at this time.
6.c ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS
CAO Hatcher advises the billing system set up needs to be completed
prior to use. The Town will complete this process shortly and our chargers
will become available to use.
Town Administration to keep Committee informed.
6.d FLOOD MITIGATION PLAN UPDATE
Town Administration had nothing new to report.
7. NEW BUSINESS
7.a COUNCIL VISIONING SESSION - CAMPAIGN ISSUES
CAO Hatcher introduced the discussion related to each Council members
discussion points of what they heard on the campaign trail.
Lengthy discussion on the written submission received from Councillor
Maguire, Councillor MacLeod, and Chairman Nelson.
Exchange of items and items to be considered were discussed by the
Committee.
Consensus of the Committee is the concepts and concerns expressed will
form a good framework for the upcoming Council discussions during their
mandate.
7.b MULTICULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF SUSSEX - BOARD MEETING
MINUTES JANUARY 26,2023
Deputy Mayor Wilson reviews with the Committee the recent board
meeting of the Multicultural Association of Sussex he attended on behalf
of the Town.
Deputy Mayor Wilson advised the Committee of the recent appointment of
former Sussex Councillor Bridget Ryan as the new Executive Director of
MAS.
Meeting minutes received and filed by the Committee.

7.c DOWNTOWN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION MEETING MINUTES -
FEBRUARY 02, 2023
Deputy Mayor Wilson reviewed with the Committee the February 02,
2023, Downtown Business Association meeting minutes.
Issue and items discussed at the board meeting were discussed by the
Committee.
Meeting minutes received and filed by the Committee.
7.d S&DCC - PRIVATE MEETING MINUTES - ACOA ROUND TABLE
JANUARY 17TH, 2023
Councillor MacLeod reviews with the Committee her meeting notes of a
recent invitation only Sussex and District Chamber of Commerce meeting
held in Sussex with the Minister of ACOA.
Meeting notes received and filed by the Committee.
