BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN OF SUSSEX
WHEREAS the Business Improvement Areas Act, which came into
force on the 15th day of July, A.D., 1981, provides that a Municipality may
by By-law designate a Business Improvement area; and
WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Sussex deems the estab-•
lishment of a business improvement area to be in the public interest; and
WHEREAS all pre -conditions to the passing of the By-law •have
been met;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED by the Town Council of the Town of
Sussex, as follows:
1. The following described area within the boundaries of the Town
of Sussex, is hereby designated as the business improvement area:
Property described in Schedule "A" attached hereto.

SCHEDULE "A"
COMMENCING at a point on the Northerly side of Main Street, so called, where
it is intersected by the centre line of Wards Creek;
Thence in a Northwesterly direction and following the aforesaid centre line of
Wards Creek and its various courses downstream until it strikes the centre
line of Trout Creek;
Thence in a Westerly direction following the aforesaid centre line of Trout
Creek and its various courses downstream until it intersects the prolongation
of the Northwesterly side line of property presently owned by Atlantic Proper-
ties Ltd.;
Thence in a Southwesterly direction and following the aforesaid Northwesterly
side line of Atlantic Properties Ltd. property to the Northwest corner thereof;
Thence Southerly until it strikes property presently owned by the Government
of Canada;
Thence in a Southwesterly direction and following the rear or Northerly bound-
ary of the aforesaid Government of Canada property to the Northwest corner
thereof;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly sideline of the
4 aforesaid Government of Canada property until it strikes the Northeast corner
of property presently owned by Wallace Funeral Home Ltd.;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the Northerly or rear line of the
aforesaid Wallace Funeral Home Ltd. property to the Northwest corner thereof;
r Thence in a Southerly direction until it strikes the Northeast corner of a lot
of land presently owned by the Town of Sussex;
Thence in a Southwesterly direction and following the Northerly or rear line
of the aforesaid Town of Sussex property until it strikes the Easterly side
line of land presently owned by one Wttewaall;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Easterly side line of the
aforesaid Wttewaall property until it strikes the Northeast corner of property
presently owned by the Town of Sussex;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the Northerly or rear line of the
aforesaid Town of Sussex property until it strikes the Easterly side line of
property presently owned by one O'Neil;
Thence in a Northwesterly direction and following the Easterly side line of
the aforesaid O'Neil property to the Northeast corner thereof;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the Northerly or rear line of
aforesaid O'Neil property and prolongation thereof until it strikes the North-
west corner of property presently owned by one Thorne;

Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly side line of the
aforesaid Thorne property until it strikes the Northeast corner of property
presently owned by one Chown;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the Northerly boundary .of the
aforesaid Chown property and its prolongation until it strikes the Northwest
corner of property presently owned by one Smit;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly side line of the
aforesaid Smit property until it strikes. the Northeast corner of property
presently owned by Zion Lodge X121 F. & A. M.;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the Northerly or rear line of the
aforesaid Zion Lodge property and its prolongation and crossing Queen Street,
so called, in that distance to the Westerly boundary of the aforesaid Queen
Street;
Thence in a Northerly direction and following the aforesaid Westerly boundary
of Queen Street to' its intersection with the Southerly boundary of Arnold
Street, so called;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the aforesaid Southerly boundary
of Arnold Street until it strikes the Northwest corner of property presently
owned by the Orange Lodge;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly side line of the
aforesaid Orange Lodge property to the Northerly bounds of Main Street, so
called;
Thence crossing Main Street to the Northwest corner of property presently
owned by one Allen;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly side line of the
aforesaid Allen property until it strike the Northerly side line of property
presently owned by one McCready;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the aforesaid Northerly side line
of the McCready property to the Northwest corner thereof;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly side line of the
aforesaid McCready property and its prolongation to the Southwest corner of
property presently owned by one Rumming;
Thence in an Easterly direction and following the Southerly side line of the
aforesaid Rumming property until it strikes the Northwest corner of property
presently owned by one McGivery;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the West side line of the afore-
said McGivery property and a prolongation thereof crossing St. George Street,

so called, in that distance to the Southerly bounds of the aforesaid St.
George Street;
Thence in a Westerly direction and following the Southerly bounds of St.
George Street to the Northwest corner of property presently owned by one
Madden;
Thence in a Southerly direction and following the Westerly side line of the
aforesaid Madden property and a prolongation thereof crossing the Canadian
National Railway property to the North side of Park Street, so called;
Thence in a Northeasterly direction along the North side of Park Street to a
point on the North side of Park Street opposite the Southeast corner of pro-
perty presently owned by one Courtenay;
Thence crossing Park Street to the aforesaid Southeast corner of the Courtenay
property;
Thence in a Northeasterly direction along the Southerly boundary of the afore-
said Courtenay property and a prolongation thereof crossing Pleasant Avenue,
so called, in that distance to the Southwest corner of property presently
owned by one Thorne, and being located on the East side of the aforesaid
Pleasant Avenue;
Thence in an Easterly direction along the Southerly boundary of the aforesaid
Thorne property to the Southeast corner thereof;
Thence in a Northerly direction following the aforesaid Easterly side line of
the aforesaid Thorne property to the Southwest corner of land presently owned
by one Gowlett;
Thence along the Southerly boundary of the aforesaid Gowlett property until it
strikes the Westerly side line of Lowell Street, so-called;
Thence in a Southerly direction following the Westerly side line of Lowell
Street, so called, until it strikes a point opposite the Southwesterly corner
of property owned by one Gowlett;
Thence running in an Easterly direction crossing Lowell Street, so called, to
the Southwesterly corner of property presently owned by Gowlett and along the
Southerly boundary thereof to the Southeasterly corner of the aforesaid
Gowlett property;
Thence in a Northerly direction along the Easterly side line of the aforesaid
Gowlett property and its prolongation to the Northeasterly corner of property
presently owned by Black's Holdings Ltd.;
Thence in an Easterly direction along the Southerly boundary of property pre-
sently owned by one Keith and its prolongation to the Westerly boundary of
Peter Street, so called, crossing Church Avenue in that distance;

Thence in a Southerly direction along the Westerly side of the aforesaid Peter
Street until it strikes a point opposite the Southerly boundary of Winter
Street, so called;
Thence in a Easterly direction crossing the aforesaid Peter Street and follow-
ing the Southerly boundary of the aforesaid Winter Street until it strikes the
Westerly boundary of Magnolia Street, so called;
Thence Southerly along the Westerly boundary of. the aforesaid Magnolia Avenue
until it strikes a point on the West side of Magnolia Avenue opposite the
Northwesterly corner of the Royal Canadian Legion property;
Thence from the point on the West side of Magnolia Avenue in an Easterly direc-
tion crossing Magnolia Avenue and following the Northerly boundary line of the
aforesaid Royal Canadian Legion property and its prolongation until it strikes
the centre line of Wards Creek, so called;
Thence following the centre line of Wards Creek and its various courses down-
stream in a Northerly direction to the place of beginning.
