Minutes of Meeting of Council
August 21, 2023
6:00 p.m.
Present: Deputy Mayor Wilson, Councillor Nelson, Councillor Brenan,
Councillor Milner, Councillor Maguire, Councillor MacLeod,
Absent: Mayor Thorne, Councillor Bobbitt
Staff Present: Scott Hatcher, Chief Administrative Officer, Heather Moffett,
Treasurer, Tara Olesen, Town Clerk
1. Approval of Agenda
Moved by: Councillor MacLeod
Seconded by: Councillor Nelson
THAT the agenda for this special Council meeting be approved as circulated.
Motion Carried
The purpose of this special meeting was to hold a public presentation of
proposed Village of Sussex Corner Rural Plan Amendment, By-law 125-14-04
changing the designation of a portion of the lands having property identifier
#00207555 from Floodway "FVV" Zone to Central Commercial, "CC" Zone.

No members present declared a conflict of interest on any items on the agenda
at this time.

4.a Public Presentation Proposed Sussex Corner Rural Plan Amendment By-
law 125-14-04
4.a.1 Proposed By-law 125-14-04
Chief Administrative Officer Hatcher presented the details of the
proposed rezoning on behalf of the applicant. The request is to amend
a portion of the property having RD #00207555 from Floodway "FW"
Zone to Central Commercial, "CC" Zone with terms and conditions to
allow for a residential suite in an accessory building. Council had no
questions on the application nor did anyone in attendance in the
gallery.

THAT this special meeting of Sussex Council be adjourned.
