1. Approval of Agenda
Moved by: Councillor Brenan
Seconded by: Councillor Nelson
THAT the agenda for this Committee of the Whole meeting be approved as
circulated.

2. Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
No members present declared a conflict of interest on any items on the agenda
at this time.
3, Approval of Minutes August 21, 2023
Moved by: Councillor Milner
Seconded by: Deputy Mayor Wilson
THAT the minutes of the Committee of the Whole meeting, held on August 21,
2023 be approved as circulated.

4. Motions Arising out of Committee of the Whole
Chairperson Maguire noted that there were no outstanding motions arising out of
the Committee of the Whole.
5. Delegations, Petitions and Correspondence - Nil
6. Business Arising out of Committee of the Whole
Chairperson Maguire noted that there was no business arising out of the
Committee of the Whole.

7. Works Committee
7.a IOM CAO Hatcher - Well 2 and Well 3, Ward 2 - Water Quality
Intervention
CAO Hatcher provided the Committee with a memo regarding amended
pricing for rehabilitation work which needs to be undertaken for two wells
in Ward 2 - Well 2 and Well 3. The Committee agreed to forward this
amended pricing recommendation to Council through the Works
Committee.
7.b Mitigation Proposal Adjustment Ward 2 Wells
The Committee reviewed the Gemtec Work Plan for the rehabilitation work
for the Ward 2 wells.
8. Community Services Committee
There were no items on the agenda for the Community Services Committee.
9. Economic. Development and Long Range Planning Committee
There were no items on the agenda for the Economic Development and Long
Range Planning Committee.
10. Protective Services Committee
10.a RCMP Report to Council - August 2023
RCMP were not present at the meeting to provide their monthly report.
10.b Emergency Operations - Hurricane Lee
The Committee reviewed the minutes and updates provided by the
Emergency Operations Control Group regarding preplanning and
responses to Hurricane Lee on September 15th and 16th, 2023.
11. Administration Committee
11.a Sussex Fire Chief -Adjustment in Administrative Hours
The Committee reviewed a memo from CAO Hatcher recommending the
adjustment in administrative hours and remuneration for the Fire Chief
from three days a week to four days a week. The Committee agreed to
forward this item to Council through the Administration Committee.

13. Date of Next Scheduled Regular Meeting October 23, 2023
Chairperson Maguire noted that the next regular meeting of the Committee of the
Whole is scheduled for October 23, 2023
