A BY-LAW RESPECTING THE CORPORATE SEAL OF SUSSEX
BY-LAW # 1000-22
WHEREAS: The Minister of Local Government and Local Governance Reform may
make or amend by-laws of a restructured local government as per An Act
Respecting Local Governance Reform, section 11(2);
BE IT ENACTED by the Minister of Local Government and Local Governance Reform
as follows:
1 THE CORPORATE SEAL
The Corporate Seal of Sussex shall be the seal an impression of which is
affixed to this by-law.
2 CUSTODY OF THE SEAL
The Clerk of Sussex shall have custody of the Corporate Seal which shall be
affixed by them to all by-laws, leases, licenses, contracts, conveyances and
other instruments in writing granted or issued by order of the Council or
otherwise provided for by any Act of the Legislature of the Province of New
Brunswick or by any Act of the Parliament of Canada relating to Sussex.
3 PLURAL OR FEMININE TERMS
In this by-law plural or feminine terms may apply whenever the singular,
masculine or feminine is used. It shall be considered as if the plural, feminine
or masculine has been used where the context of the party or parties hereto
so requires.

4 VALIDITY
The invalidity of any Section, subsection, clause, sentence or provision of this
by-law shall not affect the validity of any other section, subsection, clause,
sentence or provision of this by-law which can be given effect without such
parts.
