Home My Public Portal About135-19 AMEND WASTE DISPOSAL BY-LAW 58-00 (WARD 2)VILLAGE OF SUSSEX CORNER BY-LAW #135- 19 AMENDMENT TO WASTE DISPOSAL BY-LAW # 58-00 The Village of Sussex Comer by the authority of the Local Governance Act of the Province of New Brunswick hereby enacts the following amendments to By-law # 58-00: Section 2, is hereby repealed and replaced with the following: "Blue Transparent Garbage Bag" means a see-through plastic bag, blue in colour, used to contain dry household waste; (Appendix A) "Green Transparent Garbage Bag" means a see-through plastic bag, green in colour, used to contain wet household waste; (Appendix B) "Clear Garbage Bag" means a see-through plastic bag, clear in colour, used for non - recyclable and non-compostable household, bathroom and kitchen waste. (Appendix C) Section 5(b), is hereby repealed and replaced with the following: All waste placed for regular weekly collection shall be contained as follows: i) All recyclable waste shall be placed in blue transparent bags; ii) All compostable waste shall be placed in green transparent bags; iii) All non-compostable and non -recyclable waste shall be placed in clear transparent bags. Section 6(a) is hereby repealed and replaced with the following: "All incombustible materials, not set out above, garden and yard waste and clippings, broken or discarded household furniture or furnishings, or any other rubbish not fitting into the blue, green or clear transparent garbage bags as described above shall not be placed for collection with other waste but shall be retained on the premises until the annual Spring or Fall Clean Up collection, or may be disposed of, in accordance with this By-law, at the owner's expense." Enactment: This by-law shall come into full force and take effect and be binding on all persons as of September 18, 2017.
