Date: March 26, 2018 SCOPE Provision of administrative services. QUALIFICATIONS 1. High School Diploma. 2. Secretarial Course Diploma. 3. Good working knowledge of Business English and Spelling. 4. Ability to operate modern office machines. 5. Familiar with office practices and procedures. 6. Knowledge of computer operations. 7. Previous experience in a similar position. MUNCIPALITY OF THE DISTRICT OF CHESTER POSITION DESCRIPTION Customer Service Clerk (continued) 2 Page 2 of 2 SUMMARY OF FUNCTION Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide administrative support to the Tax Department. 2. Communicate with general public, providing information and assistance, in person and by telephone. 3. Assist with the preparation of bank deposits and balance cash. 4. Assist with the coordination of information provided by Property Valuation Services to prepare or amend tax-billing information. 5. Receive tax and other payments at counter and process mail payments. Keep address changes up to date when received and update information on tax accounts (Great Plains and Single Address Initiative). 6. General office duties (answering telephone, typing, photocopying). 7. Filing for Accounting Clerk when necessary (accounts payable). 8. Filling in for Revenue Administrator when necessary (bank deposits/month end procedures/tax certificates). 9. Mail and bank runs when necessary. 10.
