HomeMy Public PortalAboutRoad Exchange Bylaw 964TOWN OF OLIVER BYLAW NO. 964 A Bylaw to Exchange Road Pursuant to Section 525 of the Municipal Act The council of the Town of Oliver, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Road Exchange Bylaw No. 964, 2000." 2. That portion of road outlined in heavy black line and labelled “closed road” on the reduced copy of the Reference Plan compiled by Bradley Pendergraft, B.C.L.S. and dated 7th day of January, 2000, attached to this Bylaw as Schedule “A” is hereby stopped up and closed to traffic. 3. Council hereby authorizes the portion of road described in paragraph 2 to be exchanged for those portions of Lot 5, D.L. 2450"S”, S.D.Y.D, Plan KAP50755, shown outlined in heavy black line and labelled “road dedication” on Schedule “A”. 4. The signing officers of the Town are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the Town, all instruments necessary to give effect to this Bylaw and to affix the corporate seal to all such instruments. 5. Maintenance Frontage Tax Bylaw 735, 1994, which assessed a frontage tax adjacent to the section of road being closed by section 2 of this bylaw, is hereby repealed. 6. The Reference Plan copy attached to this Bylaw and marked Schedule “A” forms part of this bylaw. Read a first and second time on the 10th day of January, 2000. Noticed published pursuant to section 525(4) of the Municipal Act on 12th day of January, and the 19th day of January, 2000. Read a third time on the 24th day of January, 2000.
